#case study
Plutio came to us to help them develop an MVP for an all-encompassing business management platform for freelancers, that brings a host of useful tools like project management, time tracking, invoices and CRM into one place. As a young startup with a clear vision and limited resources, they needed the extra capacity to deliver a digital product they could start validating on real users.
Working closely with a founder who was trying to fix a personal pain point, we were able to define the requirements of the project with the user right at the centre from the word go. The seamless collaboration continued through to prototyping and development as the founder contributed his great design and UX skills, while we focused on building the product.
In this project, the client was closely involved and invested from the beginning, leading the project as the product owner and setting priorities for tasks in a Kanban board. Regular meetings, along with the use of tools like Assembla and Slack, enabled both teams to stay up to speed on progress from all sides and allowed for maximum flexibility to adapt to any changes.
The first version of the product was handed over to the Plutio team for launch. It was well received by users and named in Forbes’ Top Ten Tools for Freelancers and Micro Businesses list. From there, the internal Plutio team took over and continues to develop the product further today.
