Driving awareness and engagement for entrepreneurial higher education
HEInnovate, a tool launched by the European Commission and OECD, helps higher education institutions assess their entrepreneurial and innovative potential through a self-assessment tool and learning resources. WAAT was tasked with revamping the website and communications to enhance user experience, expand functionality, and increase engagement.
The brief: Increase awareness and engagement with HEInnovate
Redesign the HEInnovate website to improve its interface, add new functionalities, and boost user interaction. Key goals included making self-assessments more accessible, providing instant, actionable feedback with supportive resources, and increasing awareness about the tool among the target base.

Upgraded the interface and user experience, incorporating new features such as self-assessments for individual institutions and groups.

Developed targeted messaging and a social media campaign to guide users through the tool and reach the appropriate audiences.

Partnered with DG EAC’s social media team to promote the tool, along with associated workshops and webinars.
Outcome
The revamped HEInnovate website significantly improved user satisfaction of the tool, which supported by our communication efforts, led to 13,000 new users from over 60 countries, resulting in more than 8,000 self-assessments being completed. WAAT continues to provide web and communications support to HEInnovate until today.
